Project Summary

This building was constructed for an agricultural spraying and fertilizer business in Walker, MO. Koehn Building Systems worked closely with the customer on the exterior design, interior floor plan, and all specialized requirements to ensure the facility functioned exactly as needed.

One key feature was the sloped slab floor in Building A, designed to drain toward a center containment area to meet chemical regulations. Additionally, custom concrete ramps were required at the exterior overhead doors to accommodate the stepped down floor elevation.

Project Specifications and Products Used

Pre-engineered Metal Buildings
  • Building A: 80’ x 125’ x 16’ with 2:12 roof slope
  • Building B: 40’ x 30’ x 11’ 6” with a 2:12 roof slope, 2’ eave extension on right endwall
  • Building C, D, & E: 6’ x 112’ wrap around lean-to attached to building B with a 2:12 roof slope, flat soffit design, 8’ ceiling height
  • Cultured stone wainscot
  • Full height wall and ceiling liner panel
  • 4 - 20’ x 14’ double sided steel insulated overhead doors
  • 4 - 3070 steel entry doors
  • 8 - Anderson 4030 sliding windows
  • 1 - 30/70 storefront door
  • Radiant floor heat system - installed 2” high value foam under the concrete (designed specifically for radiant floor heat)

Insulation Package
  • Roof and walls 4” blanket (R-13)

Concrete
  • Foundations, Building slab, exterior concrete, sidewalk
