Project Summary

Our client owns a carport business and needed a new building to support their company’s continued growth. The facility will be used to manufacture and assemble carport components, preparing them for field installation.

Koehn Building Systems assisted with the design process to ensure the building size and layout matched the owner’s vision. Providing this level of guidance early on is a core part of our work. We help customers define exactly what they need and use detailed drawings to bring their project to life. Our support begins long before a contract is signed.

  • Overhead doors
  • Radiant barrier pex tubing for heat in the floor system
  • Rough-in plumbing under slab for restroom
  • Storefront windows

Project Specifications and Products Used

Pre-engineered Metal Building
  • 80’ x 120’ x 18’
  • 2:12 roof slope
  • Wrap around below eave canopy - 6’ wide x 24’ long on back sidewall, and 6’ wide x 20’ on left endwall, with sloped soffit.
  • 9’ 11’ clear at low eave, 2;12 roof slope
  • Wainscot full perimeter
  • 1 - 24’ x 16’ double sided steel insulated overhead door
  • 2 - 12’ x 14’ double sided steel insulated overhead doors
  • 6 - 30/40 Anderson single hung windows
  • 6 - framed openings for customer provided exhaust fans
  • 3 - 40/50 thermally broken storefront windows
  • Radiant floor heat system- installed 2” high value foam under the concrete (designed specifically for radiant floor heat)

Insulation Package
  • Roof and walls 4” blanket (R-13)

Concrete
  • Foundations, building slab, sidewalk, and exterior concrete
  • Bollards
  • 6’ heavy duty trench drain
  • 2’’ foam in footing
