Living Faith Mennonite School

Project Summary

This project was a design-build for a Mennonite private school near Walker, Missouri. It included multiple buildings, with Building A housing a gymnasium, classrooms, and a stage for school programs. Building B served as a tie-in structure between the original building and the gymnasium entry. Careful front-end design was critical, particularly the constant-depth wall columns, flush girt design in the gymnasium, and how the connector building tied in.

The project presented challenges, as it involved tying into an existing wood-frame building. Koehn Building Systems also assisted with the exterior renovation of the existing structure, including the installation of new roof panels, ensuring a cohesive and functional final result.

The scope of work included the following:

  • Project drawings
  • Concrete services
  • PEMB
  • Rough-in plumbing
  • The owner/school handled all other trades
